
Stella Voskovetskaya was born on February 6,1965,Kiev
She began taking ballet classes at age of six at Kiev Ballet School (class L Krymskaya, G.Kirilova)
In 1974,Stella was invited to Kiev Choreographic School,but her dream was to continue her study at Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet - one of the greatest schools in the world that has such legendary graduates as Anna Pavlova, George Balanchine, Natalia Makarova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, to name just a few
Already during those years, she was distinguished between other students with her accuracy and precision in the execution of the class exercises

Selection of children at the Academy was very severe
Each year more than 3,000 children were coming to take entrance exams, but only 60 were selected for training
Of the 60 selected children, only 20 would successfully graduate the class of classical ballet
Another 8-10 would be transferred to and graduate from class of character dance
The other children are dismissed at different times for different reasons during 8 years of training
1975 – Voskovetskaya was accepted at Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet
1983 - Stella graduated Academy (class M.Vasilieva,and I.Gensler)

After graduating Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 1983,Stella was accepted as corp de ballet dancer with Ballet Company of the Mariinsky Theater, rapidly growing from corp de ballet dancer to second soloist
She was a finalist of International Ballet Competition in Moscow in 1985 and 1989
In the theater Stella continued taking classes with Nina Ukhova and Gabriela Komleva , who were Stella's teachers, and mentors
She was working with Altima Asylmuratova, Larissa Lezhnina,Yulia Makhalina, Alexander Lunev
Later, Stella always was saying "I couldn’t live without the theater. I loved my coaches, partners, fellow dancers,the stage directors - everyone"

*Gulnare, Trio of Odalisques - Le Corsaire.
*Nancy, Sylphs - La Sylphide.
*Sugar Plum Fairy - The Nutcracker.
*Lilac Fairy, Princess Florine - The Sleeping Beauty.
*Myrta, Zulma, Peasant Pas de deux – Giselle
*Pas de trois, Neapolitan Dance – Swan Lake
*Zobeide - Scheherazade.
*Queen of the Dryads, Street Dancer - Don Quixote
*Henrietta – Raymonda
*Nocturne, Eleventh Waltz, First Waltz – Les Sylphides
From the very beginning it was obvious that Stella has everything what needs to become the classical ballerina. Her talent was outstanding, and she draw a great interest even when she was student of the Ballet Academy
With
the years,she
became magnificent both in romantic and dramatic roles
In 1993,Stella was offered to work for Igor Moiseyev ballet as a soloist
2000 – Stella returns back to Kiev, where she created Academic Children's Dance Ensemble
2002: First competition in which Academic Children's Dance Ensemble takes part is Dance Grand Prix Europe 2002 (Spain) - 3rd place
2003: Festival Internazionale di Danza per Scuole in Italy (September) - 3rd place
2004: International Festivals in Porto and the Algarve – Portugal (August) 2nd place
May 2003 : Academic Children's Dance Ensemble was awarded the title of Exemplary Children’s Ballet School

2004 - Stella Voskovetskaya came to USA
Today she is teaching Senior and Senior Advanced classes in ballet schools in a Great Chicago area and also Master classes, and Advanced Technical classes by invitation
She choreographed Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and Snow Queen for Voronoff Academy of Ballet,and Swan Lake for Academy of Ballet and Arts,
parts of Nutcracker for Irina Makkai Classical Ballet and Dance School, parts of Paquita and Carmen for NorthShore and Pointe Academy
Stella also does private coaching for very moderate amount of students,preparing them for auditions and competitions
